FAQS
Everything you need to know before booking.
Straight answers, so you know exactly what to expect before you book.
Do I need to be a sporty person to come?
Not at all. Despite the name, sports massage is for anyone carrying muscle tension, pain, or restricted movement — whether you run marathons or sit at a desk all day.
What's the difference between sports massage and a regular massage?
Sports massage is more targeted and clinical. It focuses on specific muscles, movement patterns, and problem areas rather than general relaxation. It can be more intense, but it's designed to get results.
Will it hurt?
It can be uncomfortable in places — particularly on areas that are tight or overworked. But a good therapist works with you, not on you. You're always in control of the pressure.
What should I wear?
Comfortable, loose clothing you don't mind being moved around in. Depending on the area being treated, you may need to undress partially — towels are always used for modesty.
Do you treat acute injuries?
No — I work with sub-acute and chronic conditions only. If you've just injured yourself (within the last 72 hours), please rest and seek medical advice first. Once the acute phase has passed, get in touch.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on what you're dealing with. Some people feel a significant difference after one session; ongoing or complex issues may need a course of treatment. I'll give you an honest assessment at your first appointment.
How do I book?
Online via the booking page — you'll choose your session length, pick a time, and pay at the point of booking through Stripe.
Where are you based?
On Springhurst Close in Croydon CR0 5AT, with good transport links across South London. Off-street parking is available, and the full address is given upon booking.
Are you qualified and insured?
Yes. I hold a Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy (Sports Therapy UK, VTCT accredited) and am registered with the LCSP Register of Remedial Masseurs & Manipulative Therapists. I am fully insured to practise.
Is sports massage suitable for everyone?
For most people, absolutely. However there are a small number of conditions where we'd need to take extra care or check with your GP first. See the full contraindications list here
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes. Gift cards hold a value rather than a fixed treatment, so they can be put toward any session and spent across more than one appointment until the balance runs out. They are available in set amounts of £25, £60 and £90, and I can set up any other amount on request — just get in touch. Buy a gift card here
Do you offer discounts on multipack purchases?
Yes — multipacks save you up to 20% compared with booking sessions individually, and they are the best value if you are training regularly or working through an ongoing problem. They are paid upfront and never expire. See the multipacks here
Is there parking available?
Yes — off-street parking is available in the driveway. Full directions and parking instructions are sent with your booking confirmation.
